Laura R. Clark, Principle

Laura's insurance experience began over 20 years ago working summers at The Hartford Insurance before graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Business.  She started her career by earning her first position at the Travelers Insurance Co. as a National Accounts Group Underwriter for complex large multi-state employer groups.  Travelers later merged with United HealthCare, where Laura continued to do alternate funded renewal underwriting.  Laura later worked as an Aetna Financial Underwriter for mid-size employer groups in their Windsor, CT service office, then transferring down to Washington DC in 1996 as one of Aetna's Client Account Managers servicing top DC employers.  Laura's insurance credentials segued her into a career as a Health and Welfare Benefit Consultant with Aon Consulting in Bethesda, MD servicing well-known Washington DC clients.   

As Principle of Clark Benefit Services, LLC since 2007, Laura takes satisfaction in using her corporate insurance background and consulting experience to provide a high level of expertise to the smaller employer market.  Whether you are self employed, have a group of employees, or are an individual with a family, Laura will go the extra mile to provide personalized attention in finding you an appropriate, cost effective plan.  She has successfully built her book of business on the philosophy of superior customer service. 

Laura stays current on Health Care Reform and it's impact on employer groups.  She belongs to several professional organizations and is currently working on her CEBS/GBA designation (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist).  Laura lives in Bristow, VA with her husband and 2 children, ages 12 and 14.
